I began my leadership journey officially at just 16 years old in the fast food industry. I then transitioned into a line worker position at Perdue farms in Washington, IN at age of 18. There I rapidly worked my way up the leadership ranks including supervisory roles, superintendent, and fill in night shift plant manager overseeing 600 employees at any given time.

 

My strong leadership capabilities eventually led me into the entrepreneurial world. After 10 years with Perdue, I invested in myself by acquiring a former bar property and opening the bar back up in that property in 2019. I then began to invest into rental properties in later 2020. I then added to my investment portfolio by acquiring a second bar building and opening a restaurant/bar in that location in 2021 at which time I made the decision to part ways with my w2 career with Perdue and be a full time entrepreneur. While owning and operating these businesses, I uncovered the true opportunity within the businesses: the real estate in which the businesses operated. I discovered a deeper passion for real estate than for serving food and drinks.

 

Through the challenges of the COVID era—particularly its impact on the hospitality industry— it became a defining moment. Seeking greater consistency, stability, and freedom I made the decision to sell the bar/restaurant businesses and go all in on real estate investing. Since making that transition, I haven't looked back.
